We developed a new symbol system for the Kumeyaay Nations expansion at the Viejas Shopping Center in Alpine California.

Drawing from the tribe's storytelling heritage, we developed five new symbols to identify five distinct areas.

Using a variety of materials ranging from stone mosaic to rough-cut, plasma-cut steel, we applied the symbols to primary entry marquees, parking lot area identification, and store directories.
